What Is More?
It’s a book commemorating the expreimental illustrators –
James Victore, Stefan Sagmeister and Alex Trochut.
With the people of these days tend to follow instead of
creating their own, hence, not having their own “voice”. Therefore, the book purpose is to inspire and encourage
young designersto create their own style and dare
to be different.
The concept behind “What Is More?” is to inspire and pique the interest of readers and its title is derived from Alex Trochut’s book, “More Is More”. We often hear people saying that, “Less is More”, however, I think that it is just individual perspective and should not be planted on someone else. Therefore I chose to question the readers in a way that encourages them to seek for their own “answer”. The book is divided into three sections – Less Is More (James Victore) that compared to the other two designers, he have lesser elements in his work. Whereas More Is More would be Alex Trochut, following after the book that he published and lastly but not least, Enough Is More goes to Stefan Sagmeister.
